SM Women’s Plus Model Search

When I saw the Jus’ ur Size clothing line in SM Calamba few months ago, I’m very happy. I already don’t need to go to SM Southmall just to buy pieces of clothes. I always drop by in that section whenever I go to SM. Even the sales ladies, they already know me. Haha! Until one day, while fitting some blouses, one sales lady approached me to join their model search. At first, I refused to entertain her but when I saw the poster and read the prizes, I’ve already made up my mind to join!

Here are the mechanics of the contest:

WHO ARE QUALIFIED TO JOIN:

• Female, single or married
• 16 to 35 years old
• At least 5” in height
• Dress size: 2L – 5L (US size 12 to 20)

PURCHASE REQUIREMENT:

• Minimum purchase (single receipt) of Php800 from SM’s Plus Size Departments’ House brands (Jus’ Ur Size, Ladies Circle, Full Bloom, Jus’ Jeans, Baleno Plus, Me2) at any SM Department Store.

SELECTION OF TOP 20 CONTESTANTS:
On September 8, 2011/2PM at SM Head Office, Bldg. C, JW Diokno Boulevard, Mall Of Asia Complex CBP-1A, Pasay City, all entries shall be screened to get the top 20 candidates by the SM Representatives/Contest Judges in the presence of a DTI Representative.  Entries will be based on the following criteria :

*50% Face – Finalists face must look healthy, happy with clean, vibrant and even toned skin.  Eyes are clear and bright
*50% Body – Curvaceous body with waistline proportion to bust and hips
a –  The Top 20 chosen will each receive Php2,000 worth of SM gift certificates in Php500 denomination.  SM Gift Certificates shall be valid for 1 year from the date of issuance
b –  They will be notified via telephone call, SMS, email and registered mail to do an interview with the judges (with the presence of a DTI representative) to be able to come up with the 8 semi-finalists

The Top 20 Contestants shall be scheduled for an interview from September 12 to 13, 2011/1 to 5pm only.
*All contestants who resides in Metro Manila/GMA will be interviewed at the SM Head Office with the presence of a DTI Representative.  If in case a contestant cannot go to SM Head Office, she can be interviewed via Skype or Yahoo Messenger (with webcam)
*Contestants from the Vis-Min area can either be interviewed online via Skype or Yahoo Messenger (with webcam) or go to the nearest SM Department Store.

The 8 Semi-Finalists chosen will each receive Php3,000 worth of SM gift certificates in Php500 denomination.  SM Gift Certificates shall be valid for 1 year from the date of issuance.  They will be notified via telephone call, SMS, email, and registered mail that they are part of the 8 Semi-Finalists.

FINAL 3 WINNERS:
On September 26, 2011/2pm, SM Representatives/Contest Judges will be at the SM Head Office to rate the Semi-Finalists in the presence of a DTI Representative.

THE FINAL SCORES & RANKING OF THE EIGHT (8) SEMI-FINALISTS WILL BE BASED ON THE FOLLOWING:
• 20% Public Scores
• 80% SM Representatives/Contest Judges Scores

THE 80% SM REPRESENTATIVES/CONTEST JUDGE SCORES WILL BE BASED ON THE FOLLOWING
*50% Face
*Finalists face must look healthy, happy with clean, vibrant and even     toned skin.  Eyes are clear and bright
*50% Body
*Curvaceous body with waistline proportion to bust and hips

The FINAL 3 will be notified immediately via telephone call, SMS, email and registered mail.

PRIZES FOR THE TOP 2 WINNERS:

1) Php10,000 worth of SM gift certificates.  SM Gift Certificates shall be valid for 1 year from the date of issuance
2) Php3,000 worth of PLDT gift pack

The GRAND WINNER will receive the following:

1) Php20,000 worth of SM gift certificates.  SM Gift Certificates shall be valid for 1 year from the date of issuance
2) Php5,000 worth of PLDT gift pack

Ang Babae sa Septic Tank

Cinemalaya – an annual Philippine Independent Film Festival. This year, Cinemalaya show dates was from July 15-24. Ang Babae sa Septic Tank is one of the full-length Independent Film entries. When I first heard the title of this Indie film, I knew I have to watch it. Title palang, may laman na. I even want to watch at Greenbelt because the festival is showed in limited cinemas and theaters but I failed because of class schedules and such. Me and my friend, Gem were a bit broken-hearted for missing an Indie Film like this. I’ve read a lot of good feedback from well-known people in showbiz and from other people who have the chance to watch it. Poor me, i’m just depending on their tweets feeling so envious. I just stay tuned for the awards night and heard that Ang Babae sa Septic Tank got most of the major awards, I was like oooooooh!

 …and because of the brilliant work of art of Marlon Rivera, Director and Chris Martinez, Writer/Producer, Ang Babae sa Septic Tank was showed in cinemas nationwide from August 3-9. I never thought of missing that opportunity. Last Saturday, I went to a movie house with Toony. Call me OA but I really felt excited before the film started As expected, it was a bomb! I was speechless after the film. Grabe lang. Sobrang galing and super unique! It was the first film I’ve watched  with such brilliant concept. I really love watching independent films. Mas malalim. Mas malaman. Mas exciting. I was so inspired. While watching, I imagined myself in their feet. Feeler lang, why not diba? that’s my dream eh. haha I laughed a lot in this film. Eugene Domingo is very talented. The role really fits her. Direk Rainier, Kean Cipriano is so hoooot! hahaha I love him na. Bingbong, JM De Guzman is so astiiig! Have you noticed Jocelyn, Cai Cortez, the Production Assistant, do not have any script/dialogue in the film? but she contributed a lot. She added a taste in the film.  The story was very new and unique. I love how they do brainstorming. I love the way they say bad words. Ang cute!

Aezhia Tiara is my one and only niece. She’s my princess. She’s getting bigger, heavier and more hyper. This is the last month she’ll celebrate her monthsary. Next month will be her big day, and I’m looking forward for a succesful one!

Vacation, where are you?

This is my most toxic semester ever. Paper works, production and OJT. Honestly, I used to be a happy-go-lucky student. I don’t get much stress and pressure with my acads but the world turned around, this semester made me feel how hard being a student is, nonetheless, I won’t even care about it, but yes, I do. I was really busy for the past few weeks that I can’t even update my blog. HAHA

This is the final week for this memorable semester. Still, I have more papers to pass and more duties to accomplish. As what they’ve said, “Konti nalang!“.

I don’t really expect for a bonggang vacation this year. I already set my mind with it. I really want to start my PracticumII as soon as possible Yesterday, I went to Makati for an OJT Host-Company hunt. I went to Philippine Daily Inquirer and it was love at first sight! When I reach the place, I told myself, I want there. Hopefully, they accept me. hahaha! I was with my 3 classmates and we went to Paseo de Roxas, Ayala Avenue and walk along the place and find possible companies. I’m wishing for a good news this week

Maybe, I’ll just look forward to the last week of May for some leisure time
